Nikko is well known for Nikko Toshogu where the grave of Tokugawa shogun is. Actually, the foundation of this place comes from a mountain monk story. The monk, Shodo-shonin climbed and opened Mt. Nantai. We are climbing Mt. Nyoho on this hike.

Pick up: Nikko area

Start: Kirifuri Plateau trailhead

End: Karasawa emergency hut

Day2

Start: Karasawa emergency hut

End: Futarasan jinja Haiden

Meals: NOT included

Drop off: Nikko area


Distance 8.4km

Elevation loss: 1,594m

Hiking duration 4 hours

Attention!

Unlike the other multi-day hike, the accommodation for this hike is a free emergency shelter. The shelter is rigid and spacious, but no bedding, electricity, tap water, heater, gas and bathroom. MMGuide bring gas and pot for making hot water. You are required to bring your own meals. (Dinner and breakfast at least if you have snacks for your lunch) Or, we can cook for you if you request it. Let us know what your option is.
