Neko＆Azumaya 根子岳＆四阿山

OVERVIEW
Mt.Nekodake and Mt.Azumaya are located at Sugadaira, 1 hour drive from Nagano city.
The trail head starts from Sugadaira farm. Walking through birch trees, and shortly you reach high enough to see the western side of view behind. The trail is fairly mellow up to the1st peak, Mt. Nekodake. If you hiked enough up here, we come back down the same route. For avid hikers, we still continue to the 2nd peak, Mt.Azumaya, then we take the different route down to the farm.
ITINERARY
Pick up and drop off: Nagano or Ueda
Start and End: Sugadaira dairy farm
Distance: 9.6 km
Elevation gain and loss: 950m (from1,600m to 2,354m)
Hiking duration: 6 hours
In case of Nekodake return
Distance: 5.2 km
Elevation gain and loss: 600m (from1,600m to 2,201m)
Hiking duration: 3.5 hours
