Welcome to the Mountains in Japan
We provide guided hikes mainly in Nagano and the surrounding regions of Japan. Our hiking area covers the Japan Alps - Northern, Central and Southern. The hiking season here runs from mid-July to mid-October.
From one day hike to multi-day hikes (staying in a mountain hut or tent,) we offer options based on your request, destination, fitness level and hiking experience. All of our hikes are private trips, and we can customize them for you.
The Japan Alps / Nagano pref. (長野県)
Nagano is located northwest of Tokyo. By Shinkansen (bullet train), it takes 1.5 hours only from Tokyo to Nagano.
Nagano stretches over 200km from north to south. The whole prefecture is rich in nature and attracts tourists all year around.
High mountains run along the west side of Nagano, dividing it into the border with neighboring prefectures. This mountain range is called the Japan Alps.
It is divided into three parts;
-North (Mt. Yari, Hotaka, Hakuba, Tsubakuro, Tateyama etc.)
-Central (Mt. Kisokoma, Utsugi etc.)
-South (Mt. Kita, Kaikoma, Shiomi, Akaishi, Hijiri etc.)
All are national parks with peaks around 3,000m in height.
Matsumoto city, 1 hour from Nagano city, is our main base.
It is a convenient starting point for Northern, Central and Southern Alps.

Once we agree on destination, your booking will be confirmed according to our terms and conditions.
Multi-day hike
After receiving your request, we will check hut availability and make reservations. We will then confirm your hike based on our terms and conditions.
